MALT is available for Fellows to record and store data as a personal log of procedures or an audit tool for self audit or peer review.
If you require information about sub-specialisation training logbooks, see the page specific to your sub-specialisation:
Colon and Rectal Surgery (ANZTBCRS Fellows)
Gastric and Oesophageal Surgery (ANZGOSA Fellows)
Hepatic, Pancreatic and Biliary Surgery (ANZHPBA Fellows)
Breast Surgery (BreastSurgANZ Fellows)
Usage
Cases logged can only be viewed by the Fellow who entered it.
Fellows who have opted in to participate in a peer-reviewed audit agree to share their data with named colleagues.
Logbooks
Fellows are automatically allocated a specialty-specific logbook to record their cases. All MALT logbooks use SNOMED-CT as the source for the procedures.
Fellows who have used MALT previously, either as a Trainee or when subspecialising, will retain access to previous logbooks for reporting purposes.
Fellows with multiple logbooks can generate a report of their entire operative experience with the User Summary Report or generate an 'all procedures logged' report that groups procedures based on the SNOMED hierarchy.
Procedures
MALT allows multiple procedures to be recorded in a case. If you cannot find the procedure you want to enter, click on the 'can't find my procedure' option on the data entry screen and send the name of the procedure to MALT staff.
Rural Fellows
The Rural Procedural Audit is no longer an active audit.
Reporting
All members of the College have access to a range of standard reports as well as Qlikview Self-Audit reports, all accessible from the reports tab in MALT.
In addition, the MALT team are able to produce custom reports as required.
